From the Dodge County Highway Department

Dodge County Highway Department will begin resurfacing work on County Highway II from County Highway I to County Highway TT, Starting Monday August 19, 2024.

The work consists of culvert replacements, intersection grading, milling and pulverizing the existing pavement, placing new asphalt over the pulverized surface, curb and gutter at some locations, gravel shoulders, and pavement marking. Roadway work should be completed by early-October, weather permitting.

Please note: when the new asphalt is being placed, the paving vehicles will occupy the entire width of the roadway. Local traffic will still be able to use the road, but vehicles will not be able to drive through or around the paving crew. This is a moving operation and traffic can use the road ahead of the paving crew or behind it (on the new surface) once the pavement cools.
