As we grow closer to Election Day, April 7th, absentee ballot requests by mail have increased rapidly. Anyone concerned with returning your ballot on time by US Mail may DROP OFF your voted ballot in the absentee certificate envelope in the lock box located outside the Town Hall, N3799 County Road T, by the Handicapped parking sign. Please make sure you have signed the certificate envelope as the voter and to have a witness signature along with their address. If you do not have these signatures, your ballot may be rejected.
This is especially important as we get closer to the deadline to receive absentee ballots by 8:00 P.M. on election night. As of March 29th, this deadline has not been changed.
I will be checking the lock box multiple times a day and recording your returned ballot promptly in the statewide voter system. You can go to www.myvote.wi.gov to track your ballot and also to request a ballot if you have not yet done so. I will check the lock box with a witness, exactly at 8:00 PM on Election night and document as such. Any ballot dropped off after 8:00 PM will not be recorded as “on time”.
As always, you may contact me at (920) 728-0269 with any questions or concerns you may have.
Wishing everyone the best during these trying times! Wendy Stoeckler, Town Clerk
